Last updated: March 2025. Please read these terms carefully before using our services.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of The Resilient Mind's website and services. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
The Resilient Mind ("we," "us," or "our") is a private mental health practice providing specialist psychological therapy and support services to individuals. We are registered in [Jurisdiction]. Our therapists are fully qualified, licensed mental health professionals.
We provide the following services:
Our services are provided for informational, educational, and therapeutic purposes. They are not a substitute for emergency medical care. If you are in immediate crisis, please contact emergency services (911) or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Our services are available to individuals aged 18 and over. By using our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from or provide services to minors without appropriate parental or guardian consent.
Important: The Resilient Mind is not an emergency or crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, experiencing a psychiatric emergency, or are at risk of harming yourself or others, you must contact emergency services immediately:
Our therapists are not available 24/7 for crisis support. Between-session contact protocols are discussed with your therapist at the outset of treatment.
Appointments are scheduled through our booking system or directly with your therapist. You will receive a confirmation email with session details, including the secure video link for virtual sessions.
We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed appointments without notice, will be charged at the full session fee. Exceptions may be made for genuine emergencies at our discretion.
If you arrive late to a session, the session will end at its scheduled time. We cannot extend sessions to accommodate late arrival without disrupting other clients' appointments.
Session fees are agreed at the time of onboarding and confirmed in writing. We reserve the right to revise our fees with reasonable notice (minimum 30 days) to existing clients.
Payment is due at the time of session or as otherwise agreed. We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfer. All payments are processed securely.
We are a private-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. We will provide a superbill upon request for out-of-network reimbursement claims.
We take confidentiality extremely seriously. All information shared in sessions is treated as strictly confidential. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details.
Confidentiality has limited exceptions under applicable law:
These exceptions will be discussed with you in detail during your first session.
Before beginning therapy, you will be asked to provide informed consent. This means we will explain the nature and limits of our services, your rights as a client, our confidentiality practices, the modalities we may use, and your right to withdraw from treatment at any time. Informed consent is an ongoing process, not a one-time event.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Resilient Mind and its practitioners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services or reliance on information provided on our website.
We do not guarantee specific outcomes from therapy. Mental health treatment involves uncertainty, and results vary between individuals.
The content on our website is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional clinical advice. It does not create a therapist-client relationship. Do not make clinical decisions based solely on content found on our website.

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction]. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [Jurisdiction].
